Desert
Confab
By
Mindy Richards, Chapter President
Nearly 300 women from chapters in the U.S., Canada and
France gathered at the Desert Springs JW Marriott Resort and Spa in
Palm Desert, CA for the 2009 EWGA Conference, February 18-21.
I was lucky enough to be among them, representing our Chapter along with
Joni Proft,
Wilma Kumler
and Kay
Pierson. (We're
pictured here, left to right, along with LPGA legend and conference
guest Patty Sheehan, who's in that crazy jacket in the middle.) [READ MORE]

Lesson
Plans
Our 2009 player development program (a.k.a. education
events) includes something for everyone! We've just added a
second How
Low Can You Go series starting May 19 at Meadow Links
for intermediate players.
And there are still
openings for many other programs, including Playing with a Pro
Breaking 100
Clinic & Scramble; the Short Game Clinic &
Scramble. Click for details and to
register!
If
you're a new golfer, getting started with the help of a mentor
can make a huge difference helping you get comfortable
making the transition from practice tee to on-course
play. Mentors are more experienced Chapter members ready and
eager to share their love of the game with you.
The
program is called S.W.I.N.G. Learn
more; then add your name to the sign up list!

Our Great Golf Stories
Over the course of
this golf season, each us should expect to experience at least
one great golf story that will entertain, inspire or inform the rest
of us.
Send along
your story and we'll share it in our next issue (and on the Web
site)!
