Holiday Party a Hit!
A festive group of
members gathered December 3 at The Madison in Covington to ring in the holidays, celebrate our
2009 season, and recognize the volunteers who made it all
possible!
Outgoing 2009
Chapter President Mindy
Richards (left)
and incoming 2010 President Tina
Smith (right) took
turns welcoming everyone, thanking 2009 Board members and introducing
those who will serve in 2010.
In addition to a
tasty holiday buffet, we all enjoyed a great photo show of our
2009 season and, for those with Member Recognition Program points, a
chance to select a gift from the "thank you" table.
Thanks to Social
Chair Sally
VonGundy and Leadership Chair Wilma Kumler
for making all the great arrangements!

Volunteer of
the Year
Congratulations to
Education Chair Terri
Campbell who was honored as the
Chapter's Volunteer of the Year for 2009. (Terri is shown at left
receiving her award from Leadership Chair Wilma Kumler at the Holiday Party.)
Embracing her responsibilities as our first-term
Education Chair with enthusiasm and energy,
Terri "rebuilt" a program of instructional clinics and
teaching events that drew raves from participants.
The 2009 Education
schedule included EWGA player development programs (e.g., Get Ready
Golf and How Low Can You Go clinic series) as well as unique events
like the Skills Challenge, which Terri developed in
collaboration with Meadow Links & Golf Academy head pro
Matt Starr.
Terri also
re-engergized our Chapter's S.W.I.N.G. mentoring program this year.
So successful were her promotional efforts that the Chapter was
recently congratulated by HQ for achieving the highest rate
of mentor-mentee match-ups in our division.
Great job Terri!
Thanks for all your efforts to help us improve our game!

We're fortunate to
begin the new year with all but one Committee Chairs in place.
But there are many openings for assistant chairs and committee
members, and we hope you might consider stepping up to help.
You've read it here
before, but our Chaper runs on volunteer power and we need your
ideas, talent, enthusiam...and, yes, time!
Explore the
possibilities! No obligation. Just contact Leadership Chair Wilma Kumler
to get acquainted and see if there's a fit.
