Spring
Outing & Rally for the Cure
For the first time in a few years, the weather for our
Spring Outing was, well, spring-like!
Fifty-one players,
most of them wearing something pink, took the course at Deer Run GC
April 18 under sunny skies to kick off our 2009 golf season and raise
money to support breast cancer research and education.
In addition to the scramble-format golf, there were contest holes,
post-round makeovers, buffet dinner and awards.
Find out who won
what and how much we raised. [READ MORE]

Golf
Marathon Benefits First Tee Kids

...Wish you
could play a
lot more golf? ...Wish you could do something really good
for Cincinnati area kids?
The
First Tee Golf Marathon, September 21 at Four Bridges GC is your chance to
fulfill both wishes...all in one day!
The
field is limited to 36 players...each of
whom will play an individual scramble (hit four balls from the
best of your four shots from tee to green) on 25 holes for the
equivalent of 100 holes of golf!
Player
perks
include a $200-value Nike merchandise package (your selections),
breakfast, lunch grill, and dinner, along with a volunteer
"caddy" to help pick up balls, rake bunkers, etc.
There's
no entry fee...but
funds must be raised! Belterra Casino golf getaway packages go
to the top two fundraisers.
Don't miss your
chance to participate in this unique golf event and provide much
needed support for the 800+ area kids who will participate-- for
free -- in First Tee programs this year.

Are You Tracking Your
Points?
Hope you haven't
forgotten the Chapter's Member Recognition Program!
Throughout the
year, members earn points for participating in Chapter activities and
for volunteering. Points are tallied at year-end and used to identify
and celebrate leading points-earners.
Visit the Get Involved/Our Chapter section
of the Web site to download a Points
Tracker to record your points throughout the season.
Then send in your form (by TBD deadline) prior to our 2009 Holiday
Party.

Thank You
Duramed Volunteers!

Perfect
summer weather and a great field of LPGA hopefuls made for another
fun, exciting Duramed Championship June 19-21 at the Golf Center at
King's Island.
Our Chapter was
well represented among the volunteers -- serving as housing hosts,
marshals, scorers and many other supporting roles that help make the
tournament possible.
We all had a great
time and encourage you to consider getting involved when the
tournament returns to Cincinnati for the fourth time next year.
