It was a sweltering first day of summer, but our field
of 25 competitors took the heat and humidity in stride June
21 during the Cincinnati Chapter Championship at Heatherwoode GC
in Springboro.
Win or lose,
we were there to test our skills, conquer our nerves and play at
least one round in the world's largest women's amateur golf
tournament -- the EWGA Championship.
Now, for
our winners, it's on to the Ohio Valley semi-final round
August 8 at Chestnut Ridge GC near Pittsburgh. Our chapter will be
represented there by:
Candy Begnoche, low gross
Jacqueline Steele, low gross
Mindy Richards, low gross
Congratulations
to all! We'll be rooting for you all the way!
