Think your golf game is challenging enough in
broad daylight?
...Just
imagine how much fun you'll have playing by the light of the silvery
moon!
The Chapter's
Second Annual Night
Golf event is set for Friday, October 16 at Woodland GC;
shotgun start at 7 p.m.
It's a
nine-hole scramble format, with a surprise trick or treat on every
hole. Come dressed in your Halloween costume for a chance to win
a special prize!
Registration
includes your very own glow ball, two drink tickets (good
for soft drinks or beer), lots of door prizes and the fullest moon we
can muster that night!
Ask anyone who
played this event last year and they'll tell you...it's a hoot! So
brave up and sign up now! Registration
deadline is October 9.

Go Red for
Women...Encore!
Our 'South of the Border' Putting Contest was
rained out Sept 20 (along with our Fall Outing), but we didn't
want that to put a damper on our efforts to help fight heart disease.
So we've
reopened our Go Red for Women!
fundraiser...with a special twist. You can participate from the
chair you're sitting in right now!
All those who
previously donated, along with those who make new donations before
the October 9 deadline will be eligible to play an 18-hole putt-putt
game online. Click here to enter.
Lowest score overall wins a fabulous golf getaway
package from the Chapter's newest sponsor, Reynolds Plantation. The
package (valued at $2,400) includes four rounds of
golf and two nights lodging, with breakfast, at this stunning
golf resort in Greensboro, GA, just east of Atlanta. Prizes will also
be awarded for lowest front and back nine scores.
The game will be open October 12-15. Contestants will
receive detailed instructions, rules and a link to the game via
email.
Each $25 Go Red donation is a separate entry to play
the game. Donations will be acknowledged and forwarded by the Chapter
to the American Heart Association.

Fall Outing Rain-Out
Our streak of sunny summer days came to end
September 20, just in time to wash out our Fall Outing and Go Red
Benefit Putting Contest at A.J. Jolly GC.
This late in the season, it's very difficult to reschedule
an event like this, so the board agreed to cancel it.
Those who registered to play will receive a
full refund by check. [NOTE: If you want to play Night Golf, per
Sherry's email, let her know directly and don't register online; your
refund will exclude NG reg fee.]
Those who made a Go Red for Women! donation have been entered
in the new online Go Red Putt-Putt Game. Use new registration ONLY to
make additional donations.
